Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a national law firm in its Denver office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–4 years of labor and employment experience who is looking to deepen their practice within a sophisticated and well-established Labor & Employment group.
Responsibilities include:

Defending labor and employment matters in state and federal courts

Advising on union-management relations and collective bargaining issues

Counseling clients on reductions in force and workforce restructuring

Drafting and negotiating employment agreements

Advising on employment policies, employee benefits programs, and compliance matters

Providing day-to-day counseling to HR managers and supervisors on employee relations issues
Qualifications:

3–4 years of substantive labor & employment law experience

Strong working knowledge of Colorado and federal employment statutes and regulations

Admission to the Colorado Bar, or ability to waive in

Excellent academic credentials with superior research and writing skills
-
Immediate transferable skills and the ability to manage matters independently
Preferred Experience:

Hearing and deposition experience

Labor & employment collective and class action experience
Compensation:
In accordance with the Colorado Pay Transparency Law, the compensation range for this position is $260,000 – $310,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This range applies specifically to the Denver market.
