What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate position at Distinct | North America?
Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice.
We are currently seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Associate to join their team in South Florida, with options to work in either Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
We are looking for qualified candidates with experience in litigating 3rd party insurance defence claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Conduct depositions and examinations under oath
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and case valuation
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Maintain a commitment to providing high-quality client service
- Identify and resolve problems promptly
- Ensure timely work completion and meet deadlines
- Experience with general commercial litigation is a plus Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, and re-inspections
Comp is up to $170k bonuses.
