What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic III position at Dougherty County?
The Dougherty County Solid Waste Department has a vacancy for a Mechanic III.Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: overseeing and performing repairs and basic maintenance work on County vehicles and heavy equipment. Essential tasks may include the following: repairing brakes, electrical and air conditioning systems and tires; replacing engines, transmissions and tires; performing tune-ups; emptying and replacing oil and changing filters. Performs other related duties as assigned.High School Diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience in gasoline/diesel mechanic, heavy equipment or small engine repair or any related equivalent combination of education, training and experience which will provide the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the duties of the position.
