DSJ Global is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Plant Manager to join a global manufacturer in the automotive industry.
Location: Greater Detroit Area
Responsibilities:
Lead EHS Culture & Sustainability: Drive a proactive safety culture and integrate sustainability goals into business operations.
Incident Management: Investigate accidents/incidents, ensure thorough documentation, and implement corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with EHS laws, regulations, and internal policies; lead ISO and IATF audits.
Training & Communication: Develop and deliver safety training programs; communicate EHS information across all organizational levels.
Data & Performance Tracking: Track key EHS KPIs, analyze trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular audits, inspections, and plant floor walks to identify and resolve safety issues.
Collaboration & Support: Work closely with managers, union reps, and safety teams to support audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in EHS related field
Certifications: OSHA 30
Experienced EHS Leader: Over 3 years leading environmental, health, safety, and sustainability initiatives in manufacturing, with 5 years of total industry experience; union environment experience preferred.
Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of OSHA, MIOSHA, ANSI, NIOSH, EPA, and other relevant environmental and safety regulations.
Skilled Communicator & Decision-Maker: Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of working independently with sound judgment.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
