DWI Case Manager
EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 65,000 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a DWI Case Manager to work full time for its Suffolk County DWI Case Management Services program.
The DWI Case Manager position is a non-exempt position paying $25-30 per hour at 35 hours per week. The office is located in Central Islip, NY. The role reports to Program Director.

Primary Purpose of Job:
The DWI Case Manager is responsible for assessment and assisting program participants in accessing a broad range of services, including alcohol and substance abuse treatment, and other supportive services.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct program screenings and assessments and follow-up interviews.
- Develop psychosocial assessments and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team.
- Recruit participants for cognitive behavioral interventions and assist with scheduling and implementing Conduct sessions as needed.
- Assist clients with basic needs (housing, public assistance, medical services).
- Work with the Department of Probation to implement and monitor Secure Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) bracelet use.
- Monitor clients in treatment to support recovery.
- Maintain client records.
- Prepare written reports as needed.
- Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients.
- Escort clients to treatment facilities when indicated.
- Perform drug testing.
- Assist program evaluation staff in data collection.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
- Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences required. CASAC Required.
- Must have working knowledge of treatment programs and local criminal justice systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems.
- Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
