Full Stack Engineer
Location: must live near Alexandia, VA (some on site may be required)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to support the development of mission-critical web applications and backend services for advanced data and AI-driven systems. This role will work across a variety of customer-facing and internal projects that span secure cloud infrastructure, real-time data processing, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate is a flexible and security-conscious engineer who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and can contribute to all stages of the development lifecycle—from prototyping to deployment and support.
Note: Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python/Flask/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot).
- Implement secure, RESTful APIs and microservices to support high-performance data workflows.
- Build dynamic and responsive UIs using Tailwind CSS, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and UI libraries.
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments, preferably AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda).
- Use Docker for containerization and support CI/CD pipelines in modern DevOps environments.
- Integrate front-end and back-end components with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and UI/UX designers.
- Document technical architectures and design decisions to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development roles.
- Active Secret security clearance (required).
- Proficient in at least one major front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue).
- Proficient in backend development using Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, secure coding practices, and distributed architectures.
- Experience deploying to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proficiency with Docker, Git, and version control best practices.
- Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, or UI component libraries.
- Exposure to test automation and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Selenium, Kibana, Datadog).
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure deployment patterns.
- Experience working in government, defense, or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j), NiFi, Kafka, or data pipeline tools.
- Experience with AI/ML applications or integrating external ML services via APIs.
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash) for automation and infrastructure tasks.
