Construction Project Manager – Commercial General Contractor
Location: Houston, TX | Full-Time
A well-established Commercial General Contractor in Houston is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to join their growing team. The company specializes in ground-up commercial projects and select commercial renovations across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects, from pre-construction through close-out
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, change orders, and RFIs
- Monitor project costs and provide accurate, timely reporting to internal stakeholders
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to design specifications
- Lead weekly project meetings and produce regular updates for all stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks and proactively resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, local building codes, and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Project Manager on ground-up commercial construction projects
- Strong background managing commercial projects — residential and multifamily experience will not be considered
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and vendors on complex job sites
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be local to Houston, TX and have knowledge of the local market and permitting process
