We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Panel Engineer to join our client's engineering team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the design and development of industrial control panels in compliance with UL508A standards and will be involved in projects from concept through commissioning. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and hands-on experience with panel design and fabrication.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
- Experience designing control panels to UL508A standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN (migrating to EPLAN)
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and PLC-based control architectures
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems and motor controls
- Working knowledge of circuit protection, including fusing and breaker selection
- Experience with low voltage electrical systems (typically 24VDC and 120VAC)
- Direct involvement in fabrication, testing, and/or commissioning of control panels
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical control panel schematics, layouts, and BOMs
- Ensure all panel designs meet UL508A and other applicable industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, fabricators, and field technicians
- Support panel assembly, wiring, functional testing, and troubleshooting
- Participate in commissioning activities, both in-house and on customer sites
- Document all work clearly and accurately for internal records and client use
Salary : $75,000 - $88,000
