Online Secondary Bible Teacher

Position Description

We are seeking a full-time Online Bible teacher for secondary grade levels. The primary job duties will be responding to students' questions in the learning platform, grading their work, hosting group sessions, creating student-facing content, and reaching out to students proactively with additional instruction through written messages, phone, and screen-share/video sessions.

Sincere care and concern for student's well-being and academic progress are of primary importance in order to effectively minister to students in this position. Typing speed, reading comprehension, subject mastery, and verbal communication skills are a must-have as well.

Salary

While the compensation for this position depends on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, the approximate salary range is $18 to $21 per hour on start.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and educate students in a digital environment.
• Initiate an engaging dialogue with students.
• Adhere to the established curriculum and timeline.
• Develop or locate additional teaching material when needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, peers, and supervisors.
• Maintain cordial relationships with students within appropriate boundaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Previous experience in teaching.
• Strong technical savvy.
• Proficient typing skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students and parents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
