We are hiring an Assistant Teacher for our 2023-2024 school year. This position is responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in planning and executing all activities in accordance with Head Start regulations, goals, and standards. The Assistant Teacher would be working within a team providing care for up to 17 children.
A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is preferred and experience working with children ages 0-5 is preferred. If the person hired does not have a CDA, the candidate must be willing to enroll and earn their CDA within one year. EOA offers tuition assistance for CDA enrollment.
Pay is based on education:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field: $17.34 per hour
- Associates' degree in Early Childhood Education or related field: $15.58 per hour
- CDA credential: $13.65 per hour
- High school diploma or GED: $12.30 per hour
This position is full-time, part-year. Hours are 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
