Equitable Bank in Grand Island is looking for a full-time teller to join our team! The scheduled hours can vary Monday - Friday from 8 am - 6 pm and Saturdays from 8 am - 12 pm.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient processing of customer transactions
- Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsements and enters deposits into computer records.
- Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Explains bank services and charges to customers
- Ensures the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
- Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification
- Receives mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments and enters into computer.
- Issues Official Checks and Gift Cards.
- Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
- Cross-sells bank products and services as appropriate.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, such as counting coin and currency, general receptionist duties, filing, etc.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 years of customer service experience
- Banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone
- Creativity and resourcefulness
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks
