Job Purpose
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team in an outpatient clinic setting. The APRN will deliver high-quality care through diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and patient education. This role serves as a primary healthcare provider, focusing on both acute and preventive care to improve long-term health outcomes for our diverse patient population.
Essential Functions
Deliver comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
Promote disease prevention and health education tailored to clinic populations.
Collaborate and consult with physicians, medical staff, and specialists to ensure coordinated care.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication use, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Document all patient interactions accurately and confidentially in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Participate in quality improvement and peer review processes.
Stay current with clinical best practices through ongoing education and training.
Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Attend required trainings, meetings, and conferences.
May supervise 1–4 Medical Assistants within the clinical team.
Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Supervision
This position may provide supervision to 1–4 Medical Assistants as designated within the clinical team.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
Advanced degree and current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
Valid and unrestricted Florida medical license (e.g., RN, LVN, FNP).
Current BLS certification.
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Family APRN.
Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation and compliance standards.
Familiarity with community health center environments and federal/state healthcare regulations.
Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinic operations.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, protocols, and patient care strategies.
