What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teen Mentor position at Everwood Day Camp?
Our Teen Mentor will guide and support campers aged 13 to 15 as they navigate leadership development, build life skills, and enjoy their camp experience. You will be responsible for facilitating small (30-minute) group discussions and activities to teach the fundamentals of teamwork, confidence, and personal growth while keeping it fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. This position is perfectly suited to a high school graduate or college student (or similar) who has experience or interest in mentoring teens and promoting positive development.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
Must have graduated from high school.
An enthusiastic, motivated, warm, friendly, and caring individual.
The ability to communicate, through patience and clarity, with teens and co-workers.
The ability to adapt with a smile in a fast-paced, social environment.
PREFERRED
Experience working with teens in educational or recreational settings.
Leadership or facilitation experience in group activities or workshops.
DATES, HOURS AND PAY
8:30am to 4:00pm (this includes a 30-minute break per day)
June 23rd to Aug 22nd (9 wks, preferred) or Aug 15th (8 wks) and hours are guaranteed.
Mon to Fri each week except for July 4th when we are closed.
Salary range is $4,100 for 8 weeks of camp.
Salary range is $4,550 for 9 weeks of camp.
Extra income can be made (up to $1,000), working as a Bus Counselor or Extended Day staff.
LOCATION
Sharon, MA but with free bus transportation from all over MA.
We need Bus Counselors from Boston, Braintree, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Milton, Needham, Newton, Wellesley and more!
Housing is NOT included.
Everwood Day Camp is an outdoor focused summer camp featuring many physically demanding activities on land and water. Staff members are regularly required to walk, hike, and otherwise move in woods, fields, beaches, and lakes. To perform the job, each staff member of Everwood Day Camp must be physically able to travel around a large rural environment (fields, woods, beach, etc.) over uneven ground on a regular basis.
