Job Overview for Occupational Therapist
We are looking for an experienced PART TIME Occupational Therapist to join our patient rehabilitation team and provide therapy services to patients in their primary residence. The right candidate is a patient, compassionate professional who encourages and inspires their patients to work toward greater independence and recovery.
Qualifications
Responsibilities for Occupational Therapist
- Complete initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments.
- Providing interventions and therapeutic treatment in accordance with the care plan.
- Selecting and teaching task-oriented therapeutic activities designed to restore physical function and sensory-integrative function.
- Teaching compensatory technique to improve the level of patient independence.
- Assessing changes in the patient’s status since the last visit/treatment day.
- Advising and consulting with the family and/or other caregivers.
Qualifications for Occupational Therapist
- Proven record of providing patients with occupational therapy.
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to assess patient conditions and work with treatment plans.
- Experience with a wide range of patient age groups and injuries.
- A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook on PT and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible, safe way.
Experience and Education for Occupational Therapist
- Experience in providing physical therapy to patients in a residential setting or similar environment.
- Current Occupational Therapy license for the state of operation.
