What You'll Do

  • Checking patients in and out
  • Confirmation calls
  • No-show calls
  • Scheduling
  • Scanning and uploading paperwork to the EHR
  • Keeping emails up-to-date
  • Faxes
  • Insurance verifications
  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Keeping reception area and patient rooms tidy
  • Rooming patients
  • Assisting the chiropractor with treatments
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 6 months of medical experience in an administrative physician office setting.
  • Previous computer skills to include data entry, Word, Outlook, etc.

Additional Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Basic telephone and computer skills.
  • Tact and skill in patient management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients and co-workers.
  • Ability to triage patients, taking basic vitals (blood pressure, pulse and respiration).

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.
