This leadership role is ideal for a registered nurse who is passionate about long-term care, team development, and delivering high-quality resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director and Associate Director of Nursing to support daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain exceptional standards of resident care
- Monitor staffing levels and make real-time adjustments to ensure safe coverage
- Conduct routine rounds to evaluate care quality and address concerns
- Assist with state surveys, inspections, and regulatory audits
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care and discharge plans
- Address staff concerns professionally and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Welcome and assist residents and families during the admissions process
- Accompany physicians during resident rounds and oversee medication and treatment administration
- Provide direct nursing care and perform assessments as needed
- Participate in staff evaluations and support the professional development of nursing team members
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active, unrestricted Florida RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, geriatric, or restorative nursing
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Current CPR certification
