Description
Responsible for assisting with managing the daily operations of the Club’s swimming facilities, including but not limited to safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance; Train and supervise pool staff in all matters of pool safety, operating procedures, and member service.
Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise lifeguard staff.
- Assist Pool Manager with formulating weekly work schedules for Lifeguards and entering schedules in Paycom.
- Maintain accurate payroll information and monitor time and attendance.
- Assist Pool Manager with performance reviews for staff mid-season and at the end of the pool season, using the Club’s Performance Management System.
- Conduct weekly rescue drills and periodic training sessions for Lifeguards.
- Coordinate training sessions with the coaching staff.
- Ensure an orderly, clean, and safe pool facility, to include the pools, pool deck, pool locker rooms, guard space, and office space.
- Develop and ensure the proper implementation of a pool safety program.
- Enforce Club rules as outlined in the Membership Directory.
- Maintain proper chemical balance in pools and maintain mechanical equipment in coordination with the Facilities Maintenance Department.
- Maintain all rescue equipment in proper working condition.
- Maintain daily logbook.
- Maintain file system for all related pool activity, to include accident reports, timecards, pool chemicals, Lifeguard schedules, supervisor reports, daily checklists, etc.
- Ensure that the Lifeguard locker and storage room is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Maintain orderly office and Lifeguard table space.
- Assist with special events, such as holidays and swim meets.
- Attend all home swim meets.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a pool operation with a competitive swim program.
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience with a similar pool facility.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Professional communication skills, a high level of organizational skills, and good attention to detail
Certifications:
- American Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguard Training or higher.
- American Red Cross or equivalent CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- American Red Cross or equivalent AED Training
Salary : $36,200 - $45,900
