Description
Responsible for completing the Front Desk Clerk checklist while handling reservations, concierge duties, and answering the switchboard. This is a fast-paced position requires the ability to multi-task, communicate professionally and courteously, and respond appropriately under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests pleasantly and enthusiastically, using their name when possible;
- Answer all incoming calls, in-person inquires, and general questions about Club events, facilities, and hours of operation;
- Follow all procedures to complete room and guest card reservations, and manage waiting list entries;
- Check members and guests in and out of guest rooms;
- Ensure the proper billing of members and guests for room rentals, snack bar purchases, and applicable fees;
- Complete Front Desk Clerk checklist daily;
- Graciously handle and follow up on all concierge requests;
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers, other departments, members, guests, and the Manager on Duty (MOD);
- Handle and balance cash and credit card sales;
- Stock and maintain Front Office snack bar and amenity inventories;
- Assist with coat checks when necessary;
- Maintain a clean and organized Front Office area;
- Understand and adhere to all safety and emergency response procedures;
- Attend regular meetings with Front Office management as required;
- Complete special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Demonstrated professional communication and organizational skills required;
- Demonstrated ability to remain courteous and friendly when speaking with others;
- Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance;
- Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is preferred;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Ability to learn Northstar software and Point-of-Sale (POS) billing;
- Flexibility in scheduling and availability to work at least one (1) of the three (3) shifts for this position, as listed below:
- 7:00a to 3:00p
- 10:00a to 6:00p
- 3:00p to 11:00p
