What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Patrol Security Officer position at Fiddler's Creek Management, Inc.?
BASIC SUMMARY:
Monitor and patrol the interior and perimeter of our gated community. Primary responsibility is to observe/report all safety/security hazards within the community. Must be able to write detailed analysis of all incidents. Along with the Access Control Officers, provide additional levels of control within Fiddler’s Creek.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Random patrol patterns of the community.
- Promptly respond to calls for service.
- Enforce community by-laws & policies by writing violation tickets and completing incident reports.
- Night Shift will monitor and report open garage doors/parking issues.
- Night Shift will monitor and report all lighting deficiencies within community.
- Complete detailed report(s) of all activity during shift.
- Respond to medical emergencies.
- Provide accurate information to inquiries for direction, hours of operation, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
- Responsible for cleanliness of work area and vehicles.
- Adhere to personal hygiene and appearance standards per the Team Member Handbook.
- Face Coverings must be worn within 6 feet of another person.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma is required.
- Employee must possess or will be expected to obtain a Class D license, CPR and EAD certificates within 90 days of hire.
- Prior Military Experience and Law enforcement is a plus as well as a degree in Criminal Justice.
- Thorough knowledge of the property, facilities, and surrounding areas.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, guests, and staff, some of which will require high levels of patience, tact, and the ability to deescalate a volatile situation.
- Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
- Ability to speak Spanish is an asset.
- Work under pressure and handle difficult customer situations.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work without constant direct supervision.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:
- Grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 50 pounds. Push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Stand and walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace.
- Withstand a moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly, and quickly.
- Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound
- Have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
