What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at FINCH PAPER LLC?
Plans and implements all aspects of the Company’s safety program to ensure compliance with OSHA standards & principles and the attainment of Company objectives; will work with employees and leadership to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment; assesses, develops and implements all safety policies and procedures to ensure that regulatory compliance and Company protocols are met; actively responsible for increasing employee involvement in safety initiatives. Including supporting and leading safety committees, accident investigations, safety audits, etc.; available around-the-clock to respond, if necessary, to emergencies that may occur at the facility; Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene or Safety Management preferred. A relevant degree and commensurate experience will be considered. Minimum 5 years of significant safety experience in a large industrial safety setting (manufacturing operation) requested. Paper industry experience preferred. 500/501 OSHA, First Aid /CPR, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) also preferred. Must be expert level user of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
