Pediatric Speech Language Pathology Assistant with First Step Therapy

Currently seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to work with a team of therapists you their choice of multiple settings in the Orlando area, including ABA center, schools settings and home services.

FULL TIME available!!!

1 year of licensed SLPA experience is required. You must have 1 full year of treating as an SLPA to apply for this postion.

Paid training and mentorship available for new therapists.

Job Summary

The Speech Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, reevaluation, development and treatment of medically prescribed therapy services, in order to achieve maximum developmental potential, functional gains and independence. The SLP therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams and make appropriate decisions based on each patient‘s functional needs. Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Maintain good client relations with facilities and their staff. This job requires that therapist provide services within the area of Orange County.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university
  • Appropriate FL from the Florida Department of Health
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow (CF) may apply
  • Active Medicaid number preferred
  • After school hour availability required
  • Ability to evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and pragmatic disorders
  • Ability to treat speech, language and pragmatic disorders in children
  • Positive attitude
  • Willing to work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Develop strong relationships with families.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Great work ethic
  • Experience working with children
  • Must be able to take on SLPA if eligible
  • Team Player

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
