What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACCESS CONTROL SPECIALIST position at Fisher Island Community Association?
Essential Functions: Attend to visitor clearance via telephone, email, in person from residents, members, and all other authorized to provide clearance, while maintaining direct and constant communication with Public Safety Personnel Island wide and at the access Terminals West & East.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain clearance authorization from residents, members, and management personnel following established clearance procedures and entering visitor information in the clearance system
- Responsible for fielding incoming security phone calls & emails
- Maintain knowledge of emergency phone call procedures and relay of information to emergency personnel (i.e. Weather related emergencies, medical emergencies, etc.)
- Provide information to security, fire/rescue and police
- Use a radio base station or portable radio to communicate with Security and other departments along with Dispatch system.
- Maintain the highest level of customer service at all times and ensure confidentiality is maintained within FICA interests.
- Perform other duties as requested
Education/Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of computer
- Must be able to type 25WPM
- Ability to handle emergency calls
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to work any shift, including flexible schedules, nights, weekends & holidays.
