GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Department of Management and Business & IT at Framingham State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Sports Management beginning in the Fall Semester of 2026. The College of Business comprises three departments; the Department of Management and Business & IT offers four undergraduate major programs and supports four graduate programs. The programs are accredited by IACBE.
The position requires teaching undergraduate courses in Sports Management, including Sports Management, Sports Facility and Event Management, and Business of Fantasy Sports. The ideal candidate will be able to teach other undergraduate courses offered in the department.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A doctoral degree in Sports Management or a closely related field is required. Candidates who have reached the advanced stage of their doctoral studies (ABD) will be considered, with the condition that they complete their PhD by June 1, 2026.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience in the field of Sports Management at the undergraduate level.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Massachusetts State College Association (MSCA) bargaining unit at a faculty rank commensurate with experience and credentials. Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with Appendix O of the MSCA contract. A reasonable starting salary range to expect for a new faculty member appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor is $85,000-105,000.
