Human Resources Coordinator
G & W Products is a leader in contract metal manufacturing and fabrication. Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly. We specialize in industries such as, construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We have an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator to support the team at our Fairfield, OH facility. This position will provide HR support reporting to the HR Director, interfacing and engaging with all employees.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll weekly. Responsible for hourly employee attendance tracking and attendance record maintenance including preparing disciplinary warnings.
- Providing support to hiring managers by posting job ads and pre-screening candidates
- Corresponds with job applicants to notify them of employment consideration.
- Contacts colleges and other career centers to arrange on campus interviews and attends job fairs.
- Completes all new hire paperwork, files, and maintains employment records for future reference.
- Supports G&W culture by onboarding new employees and being the first point of contact.
- Assists with benefit open enrollment communications and processes requested changes.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of employee events.
- Assisting with various projects within the HR group
What you need:
- HR Experience supporting a manufacturing organization, formalized education a plus.
- Experience processing payroll
- Advanced Microsoft office skills, including Teams.
- Experience sourcing and pre-screening candidates. Experience working in an ATS a plus!
- Excellent communication and organizational skills that allow you to manage and prioritize various time-sensitive deliverables.
- A desire to learn, comfortable with some ambiguity, and able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
