Summary:
Team members who are new to the landscape industry will receive onsite-hands-on training with their assigned crew leader. Crew leaders offer a wealth of industry experience and will be guiding you through the training of all required electric powered equipment.
Experienced landscape professionals will demonstrate safe power equipment and hand tool operations, landscape practices that promote plant health, irrigation repairs & controller programming, shrub pruning, and planting, power mowing, trimming, blowing, raking, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, sod laying, sprinkler installation, irrigation repairs such as main lines, lateral repairs, sprinkle repairs, clock programming, and running manual irrigation valves.
Onsite-Hands-On Training Responsibilities:
1. Safe hand tool operations such as: picks and shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hand pruners or bush trimmers, and axes.
2. Safe electric equipment operations such as: lawn mowers, blowers, weed-eaters, edgers, hedge-trimmers, chainsaws, sod cutters, or pruning saws, tractors, twin-axle vehicles.
3. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using sprinkler systems, hoses, water carts, or watering cans.
4. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
5. Trim trees or other vegetation from the ground. (Trees under 15 feet)
6. Manual or mechanical weed control
7. Collect waste from lawn areas
Screening Requirement for Drivers Only:
1. Drivers operating a F150 vehicle must have a valid California Driver License and clear a basic background check
2. Drivers operating a F350 vehicle and up must have a valid California Driver License, clear a basic background check, and complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) examination.

Position Requirements:
1. Full range of mobility in upper and lower body
2. Able to reach overhead objects
3. Able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
4. Able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the workday
5. Able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
6. Reliable transportation to job site/office
7. Report to work at the designated time and location
8. Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, (composite or steel-toe boots), safety glasses, gloves, (leather, cloth, and plastic gloves), hearing protection, hard hats, face covering or mask and the understanding of safe social distancing protocols.
Work Conditions:
· Outdoors, exposed to weather, sounds and other noise levels.
