What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker III QA position at Gaston County Government?
Gaston Social Services: Protecting, caring for, and empowering children and adults who are temporarily or permanently unable to care for themselves through the administration of federal, state, and county programs focused on improving the well-being of our citizens.

The applicant selected must undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug screening test prior to employment.
Provides QA reviews on cases and gives feedback to Administration, supervisors, and staff on findings. QA reviews can include the following: monitoring IV-E cases, subsidy cases, discipline and/or unit/team specific reviews, clerical/system error reviews, randomly pulled case reviews directed by administration, individualized reviews comparing car logs/day sheets/case records for accuracy, random w-drive checks, case record order/organization reviews, mock CFSR reviews. Provides QA calls to clients, consumers, and community partners and relays feedback to administration Coordinates efforts related to preparation for external audits and reviews, and participates as an in-house staff member in those reviews. Participates in local and state-mandated trainings, as required. Participates in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and meetings with Administration to give updates on QA processes, findings, and training recommendations. Develops and tweaks needed tools/tracking logs for case records (FC tracking checklist, Licensing file checklist, etc). Assist in developing training topics/curriculum based on outcomes of QA reviews and participate in training as directed by administration. Assists as “floater/clean-up” staff person as necessary Must be available to work mandatory emergency shelters & other duties/tasks as needed or assigned.
Requires a Master's Degree in social work from an accredited school of social work Bachelor's Degree in social work from an accredited school of social work with a Child Welfare Collaborative (CPS positions only) Bachelor's degree in social work and one year of experience in the areas of case management, assessment and referral, supportive counseling, intervention, psycho-social therapy, or treatment planning A four-year degree in a human services field with at least 25 semester hours of approved coursework and two years of experience in a related area A four-year degree and three years of related experience.
