ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Basic understanding of network routers and switches
- Read, interpret, and follow technical engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to perform final product configuration
- Utilize computer to perform setup operations and verifications of final product
- Perform soldering in a subassembly operation
- Maintain inventory of product in configuration area
- Perform quality work checks to assure the product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks and proactively seeking new tasks to advance the team’s goals.
- Able to work in lean, production line environment completing tasks on time.
- Communicates effectively with others and can function and get along in a team environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Intermediate computer navigation and utilization skills
- Must be able to use a digital multi-meter
- Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Technical problem-solving skills
- Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required; may be required to pass ruler test.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years mechanical or computer assembly experience may be required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate in English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to all team members and levels within the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
