Position Overview:
The Wedding Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting Wedding Sales Manager(s) in achieving successful events and transactions. This position involves the preparation and oversight of contracts, as well as responding to RFP/RFI inquiries for prospective couples. Responsibilities also encompass conducting wedding tours, engaging in sales activities, and coordinating billing processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate discretion and tact in preparing, disclosing and handling confidential information.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members within the organization.
- Coordination of weddings throughout the year ensuring continued growth of the wedding market
- Attends/participates in applicable internal meetings, wedding fairs and such, so as to stay up to date on market
- Facilitate site visits with prospective brides as well as pre-wedding reviews
- Facilitate wedding rehearsals and ceremonies
- Ensure all functions/bookings are booked to client requests
- Cultivate strong relationships with others by responding and resolving matters promptly.
- Sustain a “can-do” attitude, with no task too great or too small.
- Other duties as may be assigned
Job Requirements:
- Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills
- Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet short and long term business goals
- Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
- Innovative and change driven with a high sense of urgency.
- Proven problem solving skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 7 to 8 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend.
- Required to work on weekends/evenings
- The position may also require the ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally.
Education & Experience:
- At least two (2) – three (3) years in sales, guest service or event planning
- Hospitality and/or exec support experience highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, the Internet, and email.
