What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Engineer position at GRATON RESORT & CASINO?
Position Summary:
This position exists for the effective overall operation of the Maintenance Department, in meeting the 24- hour demands of a successful operation. The Utility Engineer responds to and assists with job assignments including, but not limited to the repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of all equipment and related components as directed. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
2. Perform all repairs, maintenance and part replacements adhering to preventive maintenance schedule (i.e. HVAC filters, light bulbs, etc.).
3. Pick up parts and supplies from vendors.
4. Respond to all internal and external guest complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid guest inconvenience or discomfort.
5. Accurately record all pertinent data.
6. Continually assess the preventive maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, avoidance of repairs and downtime, ease of operation, and efficiency are being maximized pursuant to manufacturing recommendations.
7. Assist in the set up for exhibits and conventions as required.
8. Work closely with Chief Engineer, as well as other Engineers.
9. Formulate bill of materials to accomplish tasks.
10. Systematically prepare to assume job assignments ensuring necessary equipment, parts and materials are available and tasks can be accomplished efficiently and safely.
11. Have knowledge of MSDS booklet location for your area.
12. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment.
13. Other job-related duties as assigned.
