POSITION: Data Coordinator (SEASONAL)
REPORTS TO: Data and Information Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is part of a seasonal team responsible for the Urban Affairs Coalition's Summer Youth Employment (SYE) program, which provides paid summer job opportunities and support to youth ages 14-18 through WorkReady Philadelphia. The six week program runs from July through mid-August and includes career exposure, on-the-job mentoring and professional development. In 2023, UAC anticipates serving 1,400 youth.
The Data Coordinator will provide primary administrative and data assistance to the Data and Information Manager, supporting the WorkReady program goals of enrolling 1,400 youth and processing payroll for youth in an accurate and timely fashion.
This is a seasonal position beginning in March and ending in August.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains and supports systems and processes to manage data and information for worksite recruitment and youth enrollment to track progress towards meeting our goals by the established deadlines.
Supports the processes for the submission of worksite and youth enrollment files and tracks the approval status.
Responsible for rapid, but highly accurate data reports for youth enrollment, worksite agreements, payroll processing for up to 1,400 program participants:
Provide insights and analysis of performance as it relates to program goals and objectives;
Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Must be a flexible, communicative, and agile team player, able to coordinate and share resources and data;
Must have strong skills in Excel, and data management;
Strong organization skills and extremely detailed-oriented;
Strong customer-service orientation with good verbal and written communication skills;
Must be able to multi-task while meeting programmatic benchmarks and deadlines;
Must be comfortable working with youth ages 14-18;
Must be willing to work some non-traditional hours, as needed;
Most tasks and responsibilities can be done remotely but must be available in-person as needed to support the program; and
Must be a self-starter with good time management skills.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (current college students are encouraged to apply as well);
A minimum of 2-4 years previous work experience working with data preferred;
Proficient level of digital literacy using a variety of platforms and tools: and
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Documents and have strong typing skills.
