Job Description:
Dietary/Culinary Aide is responsible to provide assistance in all culinary functions.
Duties include:
- Assist cook in meal preparation and other culinary services tasks as directed
- Perform all culinary procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, and on a timely basis
- Complete kitchen and dining room cleaning assignments according to the cleaning schedule or as directed
- Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with older adults
- Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities in a pleasant and professional manner
- Ability to use standard equipment used for culinary services
- Adequate experience in commercial food preparation to understand and manage the necessary volume of food preparation and service
- Ability to work independently and as a team without constant supervisory directive
Schedule:
- Must work every other weekend and some holidays
