This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated enterprise solutions aligned with organizational values of integrity, safety, and service excellence.The Platform Engineer plays a critical role in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and reliability, supporting modern software and infrastructure environments.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy complex infrastructure and network solutionsBuild and deploy automation scripts to optimize infrastructure managementPartner with cross-functional teams to implement enterprise and software solutionsMonitor infrastructure systems for security, compliance, and availabilityTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including system outagesDevelop, test, and deploy new software and infrastructure componentsRespond to security incidents and provide remediation guidanceParticipate in the development and enforcement of security systems and policiesAnalyze security alerts, vulnerabilities, and threats to prevent incidentsPerform additional duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standardsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related field and 4 years of experience in infrastructure/network systems, system engineering, or related rolesOR equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience building cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or PulumiProficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Go, or similar)Experience using Git and modern code review/release workflowsStrong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and certificate managementExperience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment toolsExperience deploying and supporting containerized workloadsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsExperience with security systems, vulnerability management, and remediationPreferred:Enterprise-scale cloud or platform engineering experienceStrong collaboration and facilitation skills across technical teamsBenefits:Medical InsuranceVision InsuranceDental Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanAbout the End Client:An established infrastructure engineering firm that designs and builds essential infrastructure for cities.
