What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Coordinator position at Harry and David?
This position is responsible for materials receiving, storage, transfer, inventory accuracy, general housekeeping, and sanitation at one or more 10,000 square foot storage sites. Primary duties include receiving, unloading, and verifying incoming materials, supplying materials and product to production areas, and verifying the accuracy of receipts, transfers, and stored materials. This position works closely with the shift supervisor and EWM specialist to identify and resolve problems regarding the timely movement of materials in storage and the fulfillment of customer orders.
- Take attendance and provide work direction and priorities to a team of 10 Ticket Processors in the printing and production of ticket loads. Ensure productivity, accuracy and cost controls are met or exceeded
- Use Warehouse Management System to research/gather information
- Demonstrate proficiency in department processes and troubleshoots problems and
- Impact retention positively by fostering a respectful team environment that supports Workplace Values through professional communication, motivation, and timely problem resolution
- Provide one on one or group hands-on training for new and returnee associates on all functional aspects of the ticket processing
- Provide constructive and timely feedback on performance utilizing department tracking tools and
- Maintain constant communication with Supervisor to ensure efficient workflow. Report trends and issues to Supervisor to proactively avoid or head off potential
- Perform other duties as required
- High School diploma or
- 1 year of leadership experience and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions
