We service our clients primarily in the NYC area as well nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).
Our client, a technologically advanced tax firm, is seeking an experienced Remote Tax Director, Private Wealth to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all tax-related aspects for high-net-worth individuals and families. This role involves strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, ensuring clients receive optimal tax solutions tailored to their unique financial situations.
Compensation: $250,000

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of comprehensive tax services for private wealth clients, including individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Review of individual 1040 returns and entity returns.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize liabilities and enhance wealth preservation.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications related to investments, charitable giving, estate planning, and other financial activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, preparing and reviewing tax returns and related documentation.
- Conduct thorough tax research and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients’ financial advisors, legal teams, and other professionals to create financial plans.
- Build, mentor and supervise a team of tax professionals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and proactively identifying new opportunities for value creation.
Qulaifications:
- 10 years of experience with private wealth in a CPA firm or family office environment
- CPA or JD required
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful tax strategies for high-net-worth clients using modern technologies
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and financial information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
