Our client, a prestigious and well-established multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a skilled Sr. Hedge Fund Accountant who will work closely with the Fund Controller and play a key role in fund-level financial reporting, capital activity, and operational support across a diverse set of investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements and monthly closing packages.
• Perform valuations, cash flow statements, and calculate internal rate of return (IRR) across all fund entities.
• Manage private equity fund leverage facilities, including loan tracking, interest payments, compliance reporting, and paydown processing.
• Review and analyze investment activity and maintain detailed investment performance records.
• Conduct cash forecasting and manage fund-level expenses.
• Support the Portfolio team with data requests and assist in preparing portfolio review materials.
• Collect and organize underlying K-1s for delivery to tax auditors.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and provide coverage for other funds and initiatives as required.
• Serve as a liaison between the back office, custodians, and investment teams.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A strong background in fund accounting, preferably within a hedge fund or private equity environment.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, capital structures, and fund operations.
• Experience with leverage facilities and fund-level compliance.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's - Finance, Accounting
• CPA/CFA Preferred
• 4 years in accounting/audit with focus on hedge funds
