Are you looking to make a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of those in our community? High Plains Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Community Based Services (CBS) and Community Support Services (CSS) team as a Recovery Specialist.

Your Mission:

The CBS/CSS Recovery Specialist (Case Manager) plays a crucial role in providing rehabilitation services to patients and their families. This position involves delivering mental health services, coordinating with community resources, and assisting patients in achieving their treatment goals. The Recovery Specialist works closely with patients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), Severely Emotionally Disturbed youth, and others requiring specialized care.

Major Responsibilities:

  • The Recovery Specialist's work focuses primarily on providing patients and their families with services.
  • Serve patients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Severely Emotionally Disturbed youth, and other assigned patients.
  • Help reduce patient symptoms.
  • Improve patient's coping and functioning at home, school, and community.
  • Center issued vehicle is provided for shift travel and patient transportation.
  • Provide a positive impact in patients’ lives.
  • Assist patients and their families to attain/ maintain the greatest level of normally interdependent adjustment in the community

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Recovery Specialist position at High Plains Mental Health Center will possess a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience in human services. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness essential. Our team values a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, alongside compliance with CMHC licensing standards and screening requirements. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no alcohol related incidents within the last five years and successfully pass an intensive background check.
