What are the responsibilities and job description for the A&P Mechanic - Redmond position at Hillsboro Aero Academy?
The A&P Mechanic position offers hands-on experience on Cessna 152’s and 172’s and Piper Seminole airplanes and Robinson helicopters in a fast-paced shop environment. This position is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and improve your skills while working as part of a team in support of the company’s flight training operations. The ability to meet challenges thoughtfully and quickly with a safety focus is essential. Flexible schedules and advancement opportunities are available.
Job Duties:
- Perform inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and manufacturer’s instructions
- Maintain high quality standards for the shop environment, tools and records
- Must be able to use common sense and problem-solving skills when performing repairs, inspections and maintenance for optimum efficiency
Qualifications:
- A&P certificate
Required Skills/Experience:
- Great attitude, quick learner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- At least 3 years experience as an A&P.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug test
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Cessna, Piper or Robinson experience preferred
Additional Info:
- $33.00 (DOE)
- Monday-Friday: day and evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Four-ten schedules available
- Flexible schedules
