Director of Operations
Location: Chester, NY (On-site)

We are a fast-growing payroll outsourcing firm supporting nearly 400 clients on the UKG platform. Our business runs on accuracy, speed, and service. We are seeking a strong operational leader to bring structure, accountability, and scalability to our payroll-driven organization.
Role Summary
The Director of Operations will own the performance of all operational functions, with a strong emphasis on payroll delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run high-volume service operations, build teams, and create systems that scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily operations across payroll, implementation, client success, support, and finance
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance for a large client base
- Build and enforce scalable workflows, SOPs, and quality controls
- Create and manage KPIs for payroll accuracy, turnaround time, and client satisfaction
- Lead, coach, and retain managers and frontline teams
- Reduce errors, rework, and turnover through better structure and accountability
- Partner with executive leadership on hiring, training, and performance management
- Drive operational execution across departments and eliminate bottlenecks
- Identify risks and implement controls to protect service quality and compliance
Qualifications
- 3 years in an operations leadership role (Director of Operations, Operations Manager, or similar)
- Payroll services, HR tech, SaaS, or professional services experience strongly preferred
- Proven success running service teams with high transaction volume
- Strong systems thinker with process-building experience
- Confident decision-maker who takes ownership
- Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
