The Public Works Department is seeking seasonal laborers to assist in the Solid Waste Division. Solid Waste duties support residential curbside yard waste collection and include collecting and disposing of grass/leaves and brush items; safely operating equipment and using a variety of tools and machines such as leaf rakes, pitch forks and shovels; the suction hose attached to the leaf machine, and ability to understand and carry out oral instructions. This is a temporary position that will not exceed more than 1,000 hours within the fiscal year. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm, with occasional evenings and weekends. The hourly rate is $20/hour.
