Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities, including (but not limited to) personal hygiene care, transportation, light meal prep, etc.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and positive environment
- Assist with dementia care, including memory stimulation exercises and medication reminders
- Provide home care services, including personal hygiene assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Drive clients to appointments, outings, and other activities as needed
Skills:
- Direct support experience in a caregiving or similar role
- Proficient in behavior management techniques and strategies
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and ability to provide appropriate support
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and documentation requirements
- Experience in providing home care services, including personal care and household tasks
- Understanding of patient care principles in a nursing home setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
