Senior Manager Financial Reporting

Are you a seasoned financial reporting professional with a background in the Big 4 and a CPA designation? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to join a dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities for a diverse and growing organization.

We're working with a multifaceted investment business and holding company that has been rapidly expanding its group finance function.

As the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of our financial reporting and closing activities. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, oversee the closing and reporting process for more than 70 entities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and provide strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing and consolidation process, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to AICPA, GAAP, and IFRS standards.
• Review and reconcile accounts, ensuring intercompany transactions are properly recorded and eliminated in consolidation.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
• Continuously assess and improve financial reporting and closing processes to enhance controls, efficiency, and transparency.
• Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows.
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Manage non-routine financial transactions, including divestitures, mergers, and acquisitions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus).
• At least 8 years of experience in an accounting leadership role, with a focus on closing and reporting in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Proven track record of mentoring and guiding high-performing teams.
• Experience with D365/Blackline/Adaptive is a plus.
