Description
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
To sort, wash and return dishes and utensils to food operations throughout kitchen and banquet areas. Expedite clean dishes and utensils to the cook line and other areas of Food/Beverage on an as needed basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scraping, sorting and loading dishwasher
- Return all cleaned dishes, glassware, etc. to proper location
- Responsible for basic preventative maintenance of dishwashing equipment and communicating with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef when something needs attention
- Trash removal as needed
- Food preparation duties as determined by the Sous or Executive Chef
- Work space cleaned after each shift
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and/or Training
- Previous experience using industrial dishwashing equipment
- Have ServSafe Certification or be willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment
- Be able to keep up with a fast paced environment
- Position subject to irregular hours to include late nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to perform with minimum supervision
PHYSICAL and MENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours. Must be able to withstand heat and humid conditions. Must be able to tolerate detergents, soaps, cleaning solutions, etc. and follow recommended guidelines for the use of such items. Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space. Requires grasping, standing, walking, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual perception. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with supervisors and other associates. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision.
