Job Summary
The Forecast Analyst will provide insight into all general ledger accounts, as well as forecast the future expense obligations related to these accounts. This individual will provide important insights and support to help drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.
Essential Duties / Accountabilities
- Perform detailed variance analysis on financial statements.
- Compare analysis results to forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare and present variance analysis reports for senior management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are a MUST.
- Identify and explain key drivers of variances.
- Develop financial forecasts for all general ledger accounts, while updating forecasts regularly to reflect changes in business conditions.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data and assumptions.
- Utilize financial modeling techniques to analyze trends and predict future performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting and variance analysis processes.
