Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Support standard lab activities including media preparation, sterilization, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform molecular biology and microbiology techniques under supervision.
- Independently execute experiments and present findings to the R&D team at the end of the summer.
- Analyze data, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate progress to advisors.
- Participate in training sessions, and maintain a safe, collaborative lab environment.
- Engage with professionals across departments to broaden your knowledge.
- Contribute to real-world food innovation challenges.
- Current rising junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a BA/BS in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related fields. Graduate students welcome.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4 preferred.
- Basic lab skills in microbiology or virology required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule for :10–12 weeks during summer break.
- Must have the right to work in the U.S. without restriction.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
- Experience with molecular biology tools such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, and microbial culture techniques.
- Comfortable communicating with different levels of hierarchy.
