What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Improvement Manager position at Inova Health System?
The Inova Health System – System Office is seeking a Quality Improvement Manager who will manage the quality improvement program for the hospitals within the East region they serve and will travel between Inova facilities- Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital . The Quality Improvement Manager may serve as a coach, facilitator, or advisor dependent upon the needs of the organization. The Quality Improvement Manager serves as a subject matter expert in established performance improvement techniques and strategies. The Quality Improvement Manager accelerates the successful management of change to ensure improvements are spread and a sustainability plan is implemented. The Quality Improvement Manager provides formal and just-in-time education on performance improvement methodologies to increase organizational improvement capability. The Quality Improvement Manager reports directly to the Acute Care Quality Improvement Leader with informal reporting relationships with facility leaders and Quality Improvement team members within their region.
This role is a full-time Monday-Friday hybrid position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Management of the regional clinical quality improvement program.
- Advance the organization through collaboration, learning and communication. Lead the integration of quality into the fabric of the organization to achieve care imperatives.
- Use proven methods to facilitate clinical excellence initiatives.
- Leverage data analytics to help guide decision making and inform clinical excellence initiatives.
- Cultivate a safe healthcare environment by promoting safe practices, nurturing a just culture and improving processes that detect, mitigate, or prevent harm.
- Evaluate and improve healthcare processes and care transitions to advance the equitable, efficient, effective, and safe care of our diverse patient population.
Qualifications :
Experience:
- Six (6) years’ PI healthcare work experience w/bachelor’s degree or
- Four (4) years’ healthcare PI work experience w/master’s degree.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Certifications/License:
- CPHQ or Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
