Job Description
Duties:
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Assist physicians with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests.
- Assist patients with questions about about medications and wound care.
- File charts; ensure all related reports, labs, and information are available in patients' medical records before their appointment
- Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answer patient/physician/pharmacy calls
- Process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians
- Clean and restock examination rooms
- Sterilize instruments
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
- Excellent computer skills

Job Type:
- Full-time – Monday-Friday
Experience:
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records( EHR)
- 1 year of medical assistant experience required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHAregulation (Required)
- EMR experience (Required)
- Dermatology Experience ( Preferred)
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent ( Required)
Certifications/Licenses:
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree preferred
Pay
- Starts at $18.00 hourly and increases with experience
