Busy dermatology practice in East Brunswick, NJ is searching for a reliable Medical Receptionist to perform various office and front desk duties to keep our Dermatology practice running efficiently.
Job Description
- Registering and checking patients in/out using Electronic Medical Records
- Answering phones and taking full messages or routing calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Checking insurance online
- Taking and recording payments
- Other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, faxing, prior authorizations, patient results phone calls, lab and surgical paperwork.
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
Qualifications
- High level of professionalism
- Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems
- Excellent computer and phone skills
Job Type:
- Full-time or Part-time
- Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.
Experience:
- Experience working for a healthcare practice.
- Experience working as a medical receptionist in a private medical practice.
- Experience with and knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications/Licenses:
- Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred)
