Job title: - Firewall Analyst
Location: - Lutz, FL 33549 | HYBRID JOB (4 days onsite & 1 remote per week)
Duration: - 12 Months (Possible for extension)
PAYRATE: $55-62 PER HOUR ON W2

Job Description:-
- A Firewall Operations Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of client network firewalls.
- This will include working tickets for firewall change requests, working with projects to advise from a network security perspective, and troubleshooting network issues that from a firewall perspective.
- Additional responsibilities include the patching and maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls, VPN configuration/troubleshooting, and network security best practices is a requirement.
- Experience with regulatory compliance environments is preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Network/firewall troubleshooting, including troubleshooting issues with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco Routers/Switches.
- Planning, engineering, and implementing of firewall changes.
- Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners for network security/firewall changes.
- Regular attendance of project meetings as a representative of the Firewall Operations team.
- Maintenance and support of network firewalls. Tasks including regular patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of firewall hardware.
- Adherence to changing management process
- Technical writing to include documentation of firewall changes and documenting standards.
- Regular on-call rotation for firewall related issues.
Requirements:
- Recent experience with Checkpoint firewalls (R81.x or higher)
- Experience with routing and switching (Cisco)
- Experience with VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting. (Experience with Azure and Amazon VPNs with Checkpoint preferred)
- Experience with regulatory compliance environments (NERC preferred)
