Essential Functions for the Machine Operator Include:
- Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
- Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
- Measures and aligns materials to be used.
- Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Will operate overhead cranes.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company expectations.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Machine Operator Include:
- 3 Years Press Brake and Operating experience
- Previous Metal fabrication background
- Dimensional measuring and shop math competence
- Ability to read and understand Blueprints
- Possess high caliber of quality control; strong skills in observing/inspecting own work
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Must possess a positive 'Can Do' attitude
- Manage time effectively as to accomplish all tasks within an appropriate timeframe
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, have good hand dexterity and stand for the entire shift.
