The benefits specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plans.
Primary responsibility is maintaining retirement accounts- .Ability to manage large amounts of data
- .Management of benefit premiums throughout a variety of systems
- .Assist with enrollments, changes, and cancellations to all benefit plans
- .Prepare and submit benefit reconciliations for payment processing and update employee balances
- .Team projects and employee engagement
- .Must have exceptional attention to detail, work accuracy and excellent organizational skills
- .Assists with the open enrollment proces
- sResponds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- .Must be able to work independently
- .Complete all other duties as assigned
- .Minimum of three years of progressive experience in benefits and/or accounting administratio
- nBenefit administration platform experience is a plus
- .Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well independently as well as with a team
- .Confidentiality is a must
- .Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are critical
- .High School diploma required. College preferred
- .Minimal travel required
- .Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, particularly Excel and pivot tables
